The practice is led by Murray Cooke, who brings over 30 years of broad based experience to the application of Network Function Virtualisation for Service Providers. His skills cover were gained in various roles from Network Strategy to Operations, and in the NFV domain from the Silicon to the Services.
Murray has undertaken projects with various leading Telcos, along with Hardware vendors and Software Houses working on Orchestration, Network Functions, and OSS/BSS components.
He has been a Board Advisor covering vendor Product Management Strategy,developed NFV Industry Standards, and assisted Telcos with Solution Architecture and Procurement.
Murray was recently Intel's Telecoms Consultant specialising in next generation network carrier infrastructure, with specific expertise in the "Service Edge" solutions, covering Voice and Data applications on both Fixed Wireline and Mobile Wireless networks.
Previously as Chief Business Services Architect in British Telecom Group CTO, he was responsible for the planned migration of BT's services for Corporate and Enterprise customers to BT's 21st Century Network NGN platform. He led BT's technology strategy for the introduction of IT processing chassis technologies into the 21C platform to handle a portfolio of internal and customer facing applications.
Prior to joining BT Group CTO, Murray was the head of Operational Engineering in BT's Global Solutions division, running UK Banking, Retail and Governmental networks through the Millennium. He also held a number of Strategy and Business Development roles in BT Global Services, and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
